I am always out to try new things like many other sex bloggers but I never thought I would be trying out E-Stim items aside from the shock therapy unit I got specifically for my muscles and whatnot. I was digging through Shelly's Toybox looking for something new to try I really wanted to try the Stronic Drei but Sizzling Simon was my next desire. Was I getting in over my head with Simon? I wasn't 100% sure if I was or not until he arrived.
Simon wasn't just a vibrator and he wasn't just out to shock me to death either. Simon has many uses from being a regular vibrator, to being an electrifying dildo, a combination of both vibration and E-Stim sensation right up to being a kegal exerciser. Simon's options are almost endless to be honest with you.
Sizzling Simon is geared towards those who are female bodied as it isn't anal safe.
Simon isn't alone there are several other models available which you can find all 3 here.
If you plan to use Simon with your partner make sure that you have open communication and a safe word if they use settings that are too intense for you.
The materials used to make up Sizzling Simon would be:
Platinum Medical Grade Silicone
Silicone is a nonporous material that can be sterilized. Silicone is also known for being phthalates free, latex free and hypoallergenic which is great for those who have sensitive skin especially in the intimate areas. Some silicone can have a dragging feeling if you aren't properly lubricated and Simon is that man who is like that. For the most part Simon is smooth he does have some raised areas that you will get a closer look at later as well as the seams that run down the shaft.
ABS Plastic is also used on Simon, on the parts that aren't insertable. The bottom half where the controls are is where the ABS plastic is. ABS plastic is also latex free, phthalates free, nonporous and hypoallergenic. ABS plastic can't be sterilized even though it is a nonporous material.
Silicone and ABS plastic are easy to clean, you will find more on that in the care section.
The design of Simon is pretty simple, it has a curved shaft for G-Spot stimulation. Along the front of Simon's shaft you will find 4 different raised ridged spots, these range in size which will help add stimulation to the G-Spot while thrusting. The head of Simon is where the largest part of the girth will be found.
Simon measures in at:
Total Length-10.6 inches
Usable Length-5 inches
Diameter-1.6 inches
Simon has no other texture to him except the raised ridges. You will find that there is a major seam that runs down the middle of the shaft on both the front side and the back side. While I can feel the seam with my hands I couldn't feel it vaginally when Simon was in use. The shaft of Simon is flexible as well so you can bend him just the way you need him but he won't stay in the position if you let go.
Control design isn't the best but not the worst, you can easily distinguish between some of the buttons. The main buttons that you can figure out quickly is the (+) and (-) for the vibration and the e-stim option.
Simon has many different controls and functions!! Simon isn't just a vibrator, he also comes with e-stim settings and can be used for kegal training. So many settings and options to choose from. As you can see Simon is rechargeable, you will get the USB magnetic charger. The charger connects over the metal Mystim logo the charger itself is also shaped like the Mystim Logo and they are suppose to fit perfectly together. I have had issues charging my Sizzling Simon as the charger has major connection issues. When your Simon is charging the crest will illuminate red, once charging is complete the crest will illuminate green. I have looked over the manual to see how long it is recommended to charge Simon and I find nothing an since I have issues with the charger I can't time it either.
While charging the controls are disabled so you can't use Simon while he is charging.
To power on Simon you will want to press the (O) button for the vibration just a simple push powers on the vibration part. To change the settings of the vibrations you will push the (O) button. If you want to increase the vibration intensity simply push the (+) button you will have 5 intensity settings to chose from. To decrease the intensity settings you will want to push the (-) button. You will find both the (+) and (-) buttons under the (O) button. When you power on the vibration setting the control panel will illuminate white. You can use the vibrations alone or with the
e-stim settings.
You will get the option to choose between 8 different vibrations patterns
1.) Tip and Shaft vibrates together
2.) Only the Tip vibrates
3.) Only the Shaft vibrates
4.) Tip and Shaft vibrates in turns (slow)
5.) Tip and Shaft vibrates in turns (fast)
6.) Tip and Shaft vibrates in turns (very fast)
7.) In short intervals, the vibrations in the Tip speeds up and stops while the vibration in the Shaft slows down and starts
8.) The Shaft vibrates in long intervals while the Tip vibrates alternately in fast and very fast bursts.
Now let's talk about this e-stim setting a little more and a lot closer. It is recommended that you turn on the e-stim setting once you have Simon inserted. To turn on the e-stim option you will want to push the pulse button. Once on you can change the settings using the upper (+) and (-) buttons. You have 5 settings with 10 intensity levels when it comes to the e-stim part of Simon!! I have to say that the higher you go the more intense the e-stim gets. Holding Simon in my hand the 10th setting is super intense. The e-stim has patterns too that alternate between Tip and Shaft at random.
For the Training Program you will want to click the pulse button 6 times. You will know you are in training mode when the control panel illuminates green. The kegal training program starts in the lowest intensity level, to change the intensity you will push the (+) button the control panel will illuminate white for a second then will go back to green. There are 5 intensity levels.
Intensity Levels
1.) A constant prickly feeling.
In this mode the e-stim function starts as soon as it is switched on
2.) A tingly feeling alternates in waves between gentle and more intensive
3.) A constant pulsating
4.) Pulsating feeling alternates in waves of gentle and more intensive
5.) Stimulation alternates in waves between tingling and pulsating
With each e-stim training level the e-stim gets intense. These waves of tingling and pulsating happen on their own not by how hard you clinch your pelvic muscles down on the shaft. There will be periods during the training program where the tingling or pulsating will stop, this is what is called the rest period and it will last few just a few seconds. The rest period allows your pelvic muscles relax before getting back to their workout.
Why are kegals or pelvic floor training important? Medically they help stabilize the stomach and keeps other organs in place. Pelvic floor training also helps keep the bladder from getting weak cause urine leakage or the urge to go to the bathroom more frequently because you can't hold your urine. If you are pregnant they can also help from having a sinking womb.
****Please Note I am NOT a doctor this is information I have learned from research & it is also state in the owner's manual****
The best part for those of us who are looking for better stimulation and orgasms kegals or pelvic floor training helps in that area as well. A well trained pelvic floor improves blood circulation in the muscle fibers. Of course, the ability to tighten the vagina by contracting those well trained muscles makes you more sensitive to intimate contact. It is also been known and proven to help enhance a woman's ability to experience an orgasm.
Simon is also splash proof meaning if you are a squirter or you plan to rinse him off in the sink you won't have an issue if water drips down the shaft to the controls. Simon is NOT waterproof so do NOT submerge him into water.
Sizzling Simon arrives inside a sleek designed box that has a lot of information on the outside of it. You can easily toss the box in the recycling bin because there is a storage case inside that holds everything you need for Simon.
Of course the outer packaging isn't discreet at all as it has a picture of Simon on the front.
Caring for Simon is going to be pretty simple since there aren't really any creases you have to worry about getting clean. There are a few ways you can clean your Simon but only one way will sterilize him. Here are the ways you can clean Simon you will find a (*) next to the ONLY way you can sterilize him. You will want to make sure to clean your toys BEFORE and AFTER each an every use.
-Antibacterial Toy Cleaner-
These come in many forms from gels that have to be rinsed off in the sink to sprays that can just be wiped off right down to wipes.
-Baby Wipes/Toy Wipes-
These work well when you don't feel like getting up right away to clean up your toys after a goof romp whether it was solo or with your partner. I personally use wipes as a preclean before washing my toys in the sink or using a toy cleaner.
-Warm Water & Antibacterial Soap-
Using an antibacterial soap you can clean your toys really well. Make sure that you rinse your toys thoroughly before using or storing
*10% Bleach 90% Water Solution*
Using a 10% bleach solution will allow you to sterilize your Simon or other silicone toys. You will want to sterilize your toys (silicone, glass or steel) before sharing with someone else unless you are fluid bonded. When using the 10% bleach solution simply wipe down Simone or you can stick him in a cup as long as the water is below the control panel an let him soak for a few minutes. Make sure you rinse Simon or any other toy thoroughly before using or storing.
Make sure to use a water based lubricant with Simon as silicone lubricants can damage the material. If you wish to use a silicone or hybrid lubricant make sure to spot test in a place that won't be entering the body.
Storage is going to be simple since Simon comes with am awesome storage case. You can see that there are elastic bands that hole Simon and the charging cable in place. In the top part of the case you will find a mesh compartment that can easily hold lube or clit vibes.
My Experience
I was hoping for a better experience than what I had with Simon. I unfortunately ran into several issues when it came to the charger and controls. The charger I mentioned earlier was wonky and I could NEVER get it to connect right so I had to guess if Simon was fully charged or not. The buttons I do have issues with if they aren't pushed in the right spot Simon won't power on or the setting won't change. I spoke with the sponsor of Simon and she spoke with a representative from Mystim at a trade show a few weeks back about my problems I was having. I am not the only one who has had this issue and I was informed that Mystim has fixed these problems that I had with the charging connection and the control panel.
Now on to my experience of using Simon when I was able to get him to work. It was an experience like no other as this is my first e-stim item that I have used vaginally. I have a tens unit that I use for my knee and other muscles but e-stim vibrators are a lot different. I wasn't sure I was going to like the way the e-stim was going to feel and boy was I wrong!!!! I can say when working right I was able to achieve orgasm within 5 minutes or so with Simon not just because I was able to get perfect G-Spot stimulation with the curve and the raised ridges, the tinging and pulsating waves were orgasmic on their own. My vagina already contracts when I orgasm so Simon made my orgasms that much more intense.
