For the month of August I was sent out the Entice Marilyn, Entice is a full line that is brought to you by CalExotics. The Marilyn is just one of the many rabbit style vibes in the Entice collection which also includes 2 rabbit style cock rings for dual pleasure for yourself and your partner.
A little about Marilyn she is designed for vaginal penetration as well as clitoral stimulation. There is a slight curve which you could use for G-Spot stimulation. I would say that this is designed for Beginner to Intermediate users or someone who likes their toys a little on the smaller side. Marilyn is made of silicone and abs plastic. She comes in 3 different colors Pink, Raspberry and Purple. You take your pick upon ordering. I received Marilyn in Pink. No matter what color you get you will have a gold trim on the battery compartment.
When it comes to the design of Marilyn she is pretty different from the other rabbit style vibes I have used. Most all my rabbits have "ears" for the clitoral stimulation. To me the design looks like one big finger with a smaller one to tease your clit. The shaft of Marilyn measures in at around 8 inches long with 5.25 inches of that being insertable the girth is 1.25 inches.. The clitoral arm is 2 inches long an about an inch in diameter. With a slight bulbous head it makes for easy insertion. If you aren't a fan of actual rabbit ear vibes this might work out for you I have heard complaints from others that rabbit vibes are usually too pointy for them. The clitoral attachment for Marilyn is rounded out and not pointy at all. There is absolutely no texture on Marilyn, she is silky smooth. I did't find that the silicone had any drag to it at all. The shaft of the toy is pretty solid but it is flexible so you are able to bend it just a little. The clitoral arm is solid as well but it to is flexible.
As stated above the Marilyn is made out of body safe silicone and ABS plastic. All insertable parts of the toy are made of silicone, silicone is known as a nonporous material that is latex free and hypoallergenic. Silicone is one of the best materials to purchase your toys in as it can sterilized and bodily fluids don't soak in causing bacterial growth. Silicone has no smell to it whatsoever and I found that to be true when it comes to Marilyn. The ABS plastic can be found around the battery compartment. ABS plastic is also known for being nonporous and latex free as well.
Controls & Functions
Marilyn is powered by 2 AA batteries, that slip into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the toy. To open the battery compartment there is a little lipped button that you push and the compartment cover pops right off. While the cover is easy to get off it can be finicky getting it back on because you have to line it up right. The batteries slide in super easy even though the hole they slide in is pretty snug. To remove the batteries I am able to pull the first out but, have to shake the toy in a toward motion to get the second battery to slide out where I can grab it.
The controls for Marilyn are pretty simple, there are 2 easy push buttons, the top on says 8x and the bottom says On/Off. To power on your Marilyn simply push the On/Off button once an she will power on. Marilyn has a memory saver inside if you power her off she will start back on the setting you stopped her in. I find it super simple if you have to turn off Marilyn in a pinch simply hit the power button once an off she goes, no cycling through patterns to turn it off. Marilyn has 8 settings I will do my best to explain them below:
1.) Low steady vibration
2.) Medium steady vibration
3.) High steady vibration
4.) Fast Pulse medium/high vibrations
5.) Pulsation into escalation
6.) Fast Pulse, Slow Pulse, Escalation
7.) A mix of all patterns on high vibration
8.) Steady vibration followed by pulsation
In all honesty the pattern modes aren't very distinctive an hard to decipher them all. Marilyn has buzzy vibrations and not deep rumbly ones which isn't all that bad if you could really tell the difference between the patterns. I would also say that she is lacking power BIG TIME for me.
The sound of the vibrations are pretty quiet I don't think you would be able to hear them through a closed door. I am laying in my room as I type playing around with the settings while reviewing with my door open an no one can hear her. I will also state I have the T.V. on an 3 fans going. If you are worried someone will hear the vibrations just turn on the T.V. or radio to have background music.
Marilyn's Packaging is like most all other packaging that other CalExotics toys comes in. Upon her arrival when I opened the main box that she comes in, I found Marilyn laying in there with pics of her on the box. With that said the packaging she comes in isn't discreet. If you are worried about people knowing what is inside then you might want to toss the packaging. I don't really think the packaging is going to be all that great for storage since its just a simple flimsy cardboard box. When reaching inside Marilyn was slipped into a bubble wrap cover, I also found generic instructions for the toy on how to operate it. According to the package she is waterproof I haven't taken her into the water as I don't really play in the shower. I have sprayed the whole entire toy down with toy cleaner an none got inside the battery casing. You can toss the packaging if you want to store Marilyn in a toy pouch. If you don't want to keep the box I would recommend keeping the bubble wrap or placing her into a Ziploc bag to help keep her clean and so she doesn't have any reactions with other toy materials.
Marilyn should be pretty simple to care for while she is made of silicone there are a few ways you can clean her. Since Marilyn has a motor inside do NOT place her in boiling water or the dishwasher as high heat can damage her motors. To clean Marilyn you can follow these simple steps.
1.) Spray her down with a toy cleaner and wipe clean. *I use an antibacterial toy cleaner*
2.) Warm/Hot tap water with an antibacterial soap
3.) 10% bleach and water solution this is the best way to clean your silicone toys if you share them. Let soak or wipe down with solution and thoroughly rinse the toy off and let dry.
When using silicone toys it is best to use a water based lubricant if you must use lubes with your toys. If you use a silicone or hybrid lube, I recommend spot testing somewhere that doesn't come in contact with your vaginal opening or clit. If a reaction occurs with the material and lube don't use it.
Overall I am kind of disappointed when it comes to Marilyn, with a good price for someone looking for a silicone toy it isn't all that bad. Marilyn costs about the same as some of the other vibes I have owned in the past which were made out of horrible materials. The design just didn't work for me, I prefer actual rabbit ears since to me I get better clitoral stimulation. With the weak vibrations and the rounded single clitoral attachment I was let down and left longing for an orgasm.
Marilyn is a good start for someone looking to see if dual stimulation vibrators work for them.
Please note just because this item didn't work for me doesn't mean your experience won't be mind blowing or amazing.
I would give Marilyn a 3/5 Stars and say her power would be a 2/5
