So wanting to try out something new I reached out to Good Vibrations about reviewing a harness an I was sent out the Sportsheets Boudoir Red Lace Corset Harness. Harnesses can be used for many different reasons whether it be used for:
Man & Woman for double penetration
Man & Woman for a the woman to be able to peg her man
Woman & Woman for penetration
Or
For those who like to pack for whatever reason
The purpose behind my wanting to get a harness is to of course trying something new in the bedroom. Don't go running out an getting a harness to spring on your partner if that is the reason you are getting it.
The Sportsheets Boudoir Red Lace Corset Harness, is perfect for beginners who are wanting to get their feet wet when it comes to using a harness.
Materials/Design
The Red Lace Corset Harness is designed for comfort and ease when using it. The harness is made out of many materials for the many different parts of the harness, I will list them below.
Polyester-Is a fabric which is used on most of the harness from the lace to the silky lining of the harness
Polypropylene-helps make up the plastic components
Urethane Foam-is used to line the middle part of the harness to give cushion for comfort
ABS Plastic-as you know is your basic plastic, the adjustable straps are laced through plastic buckles
Nylon-the straps and lace on the harness are made up of nylon which can take a good beating an last a long while
Nitrile-is a form of rubber think O-Rings
Aluminum, Brass, Nickle Free Metal- are used from the rivets to lace up the corset back to the buttons where you can change out the O-Rings
Elastic-We know allows things to stretch on the harness I have no idea where that would be located aside from the O-Rings
All materials are machine washable and easy to care for. I wouldn't recommend tossing this in the dryer but to lay it flat to dry.
The back of the packaging states that the lace that covers the harness is Chantilly Lace.
The Red Lace Corset Harness is designed to fit folks of many different body sizes. There are 4 different straps that you will be able to adjust for comfort. These straps adjust to fit hips that are 60 inches or 152 centimeters. The nylon straps are roughly an inch wide so they aren't super wide and bulky so makes for comfortable wearing. The ease of adjusting the Red Lace Corset Harness is amazing and makes it easy for use beginners who are still learning the ropes.
To put on your harness you will want to step into it like you would a pair of panties. There will be a strap on either side of your pubic mound leaving an opening for clitoral stimulation for the ladies.
The front of the harness you will find 4 snap buttons that come undone so you are able to change out the O-Rings to accommodate the size dildo you plan to use. You will receive three O-Rings with your harness I will show you a picture and tell you there measurements soon. Where the dildo will rest in the top portion there is a small slot that will hold a traditional bullet to make your dildo vibrate but also will supply vibrations to the partner wearing the harness. You will want to make sure you are using a traditional bullet or that you have one that will fit. I tried inserting my We-Vibe Tango which was too big to fully fit down in the bullet pocket.
The O-Rings that come with your harness measure in at:
1.5 inches/3.8 centimeters
1.75 inches/4.5 centimeters
2 inches/4.5 centimeters
These are made out of rubber and cannot be sterilized but you can easily find silicone O-Rings. These O-Rings do stretch some which is a given as they are rubber but you don't want to force a dildo bigger than the ring through it. O-Rings are used in conjunction with the straps and snaps to hold the dildo against the body.
Packaging
When it comes to the packaging of the Boudoir Lace Harness there is very minimal which is perfectly fine with me. I do want to point out that the box is way too big for just the harness and O-Rings. Sportsheets could have placed this harness in a plastic snap close package like my sex sling came in years ago. The box is very stylish and is no way discreet it shows a model wearing the harness. It clearly states that it is a strap-on harness so if you have to be sneaky about your packaging that comes in you will want to toss this in the recycling bin when no one is looking. The box is very sturdy and made out of thick cardboard an will withstand being used as a means of storing your harness. I personally even though I like keeping the original packaging will be tossing this box in the recycling bin. I think a cute simple toy pouch or even a Ziploc bag will work wonders for storing your harness.
Caring & Storing
I have touched on this throughout the whole review this harness is super easy to care for. You can even simply store it in your underwear or lingerie drawer which I will probably use a toy pouch an pop it into my lingerie drawers.
Make sure not to put your harness in the dryer nowhere on the packaging or the harness does it state that it is dryer safe. Lay flat to dry after you wash it in the washer, you could even hand wash if you wanted to.
My Experience
So I have been building up the confidence to put on my harness, the first time I tried it on I was naked an didn't like my tummy hang. I reached out to the wonderful Twitter Folks who use harnesses and have tummies an they told me for more confidence to pair my harness with a T-shirt or sexy lingerie. Today I had on a nightgown nothing sexy and put on my harness it was a different feeling. I still had problems with the straps slipping even with them tightened ending up lost in my overhang. I tossed in the 2 inch O-Ring and placed my Vixen Creations Maverick into my harness. I will say with bigger dildos that are heavier even with the straps tight in place the harness pulled away from the body. I haven't used my harness with my partner yet, I just pranced around in it trying to get use to it. I also learned that if I were a man I probably wouldn't keep my hand off my cock I literally spent more time stroking my cock then I probably should have.
I personally don't recommend doing a lot of sitting down in the Boudoir Corset Harness as the nylon straps aren't all that comfortable in the crotch area or around the back of the legs.
I absolutely can't wait to use this harness with my partner and if we don't ever use it together I can at least sit around and stroke my own cock whenever I want to.
Using the Boudoir Corset Lace Harness was simple and easy to put on and adjust. I love that it isn't all that plain an is more feminine then most harnesses on the market.
